Greenville school's CAD/3D printing program work on display at ECU

Taken from WITN The CAD/3D printing work of several students at St. Peter Catholic School in Greenville is on display this month at East Carolina University. Some of the students visited WITN News at Sunrise on Tuesday. Art Teacher John Bell says students have been working in class and in after-school sessions to create items using CAD, or computer-aided design software, then printing them with the school's 3D printer. When he began researching the field, he was struck by how costly prosthetic limbs are, so he set out to create a high-functioning limb for as little cost as possible.
